Custom Boat Cushions
Built for the Water
Looking for custom boat cushions NYC boat owners can actually trust? We manufacture marine-grade cushions to your exact measurements in our New York workshop and ship them ready to drop in.
Worn Cushions Don't Just Look Bad — They Ruin Every Trip
The custom boat cushions NYC boat owners choose when they want it done right — once.
Cracked vinyl, waterlogged foam, and mildew smell make every hour on the water uncomfortable. Our marine cushions are built with the right materials from the start — so they last, not just look good at the dock.
Sunbrella That Actually Survives Open Water
We use solution-dyed Sunbrella Marine acrylic — color is locked into the fiber, not printed on the surface, so it won't fade, crack, or rot even after years of UV and saltwater exposure.
- Bleach-cleanable without damaging the fabric
- Resists saltwater, sunscreen & fish residue
- Mildew-resistant by construction, not just coating
- Available in 100+ colors
Built to Your Boat's Exact Dimensions
Send us photos and measurements — cockpit seats, V-berth, helm, transom, or berth cushions. We cut every piece to your exact specifications, including cutouts, angles, and irregular shapes.
- No visit required — remote measurement process
- We confirm all dimensions before cutting
- Snaps, velcro, or tie-downs to match existing hardware
- Photo preview sent before shipping
Foam That Repels Water Instead of Absorbing It
Standard foam absorbs water and never fully dries — it compresses, develops mildew, and starts to smell within a single season. We use closed-cell reticulated foam that physically repels water.
- Stays dry even without covers
- No odor, no compression over time
- Buoyant if cushion goes overboard
- Multiple thickness options based on use
Sailboats. Powerboats. Pontoons. Yachts.
If it floats and has a seat, we build custom boat cushions for it — right here in NYC.

How to Choose the Right Marine Fabric
Not all outdoor fabric holds up on the water. Here's what actually matters.
Open Water UV Is 2–3× More Intense Than on Land
Water reflection amplifies solar radiation. Fabrics that aren't solution-dyed will fade, crack, and disintegrate within a single season — even under covers. Only solution-dyed acrylics lock color into the fiber itself.
For any boat used in open water — always spec Sunbrella Marine or marine vinyl. Over a 10-season lifespan the cost difference is significant compared to replacing cheap cushions every 1–2 years.
Mildew Resistance
Saltwater and humidity create ideal conditions for mold. Solution-dyed acrylic and closed-cell foam physically resist mildew growth — unlike standard foam that traps moisture inside and causes permanent odor.
Fade Resistance
Only solution-dyed fabrics — where pigment is locked into the fiber — maintain their color on the water. Surface-dyed or printed fabrics lose color fast under reflected UV and constant spray.
Cleanability
Marine fabrics must handle bleach cleaning for salt, sunscreen, and fish residue. Sunbrella tolerates a 1:10 bleach solution without degrading. Marine vinyl cleans with a simple wipe-down.
Foam Type
Standard polyurethane foam absorbs water and becomes a mildew factory. Closed-cell reticulated foam repels water entirely — stays dry, odor-free, and buoyant even without covers.
Thread & Seams
Standard thread rots in saltwater. We sew every cushion with UV-resistant marine polyester thread — the same standard used in professional sail and canvas shops. Seams that don't fail mid-season.
Attachment Options
Snaps, velcro, D-rings, or tie-downs built in to match your existing hardware. Cushions stay put in open water and can be quickly removed for storage below deck.

Our Recommendation for Most Boat Owners
For most boats, we spec Sunbrella Marine acrylic with closed-cell reticulated foam. It handles bleach cleaning, resists salt and mildew, holds color for 10+ seasons, and outlasts marine vinyl by 2–3× in hard UV environments.
For cockpit and helm seats with heavy rain exposure, marine vinyl with drainage holes in the foam is often the better call. Text us a photo — we'll tell you exactly what we'd use for your specific boat.
Cushions for Every Boat Type
If it floats and has a seat, we can build cushions for it — any shape, any mounting style.
What Boat Owners Say
Marine cushions built to your measurements — waterproof, UV-resistant, ready to drop in.
"Sent measurements for my cockpit and V-berth. The cushions came back perfect — Sunbrella fabric looks incredible and the fit was exact. Haven't had to adjust a thing."
"My old cushions were soaked through and smelled terrible after one season. These closed-cell foam replacements stay completely dry. Game changer for anyone who leaves cushions on deck."
"I've ordered two full sets now — one for my sailboat, one for my pontoon. Both perfect. Fast turnaround, fair pricing, and they actually answer their phone."
