B&B Italia Leather Repair
The frame is covered for ten years. The cover, for twenty-six months — that is B&B Italia's own guarantee, and normal wear over time is excluded from both. We repair the part it stops covering first: the leather you actually sit on.

B&B ItaliaPreserve iconic materials
B&B Italia specifies fine aniline and semi-aniline hides, dense woven cloth from makers like Alcantara, and precise piped seams. Every B&B Italia leather repair we take on is matched to the finish already on the piece, so the surface keeps the hand and sheen it left the factory with.

Real repairs, lasting value
Every B&B Italia leather repair shown here was carried out on a customer’s own piece. Nothing was re-covered: the original leather was cleaned, rebuilt, recoloured and put back into daily use.

Scratch & scuff repair
Common issues we repair
Fix the damage, keep the original
Most of what reaches us starts small — a claw mark, a rubbed arm, a seat that has quietly lost its colour. Caught early, the original hide stays on the frame.
Scratches
Claw marks and buckle lines cut into the finish.
Scuffs
Dulled patches where arms and edges take the contact.
Cracks
Dry hide beginning to split along a fold.
Tears
Leather opened up with the panel still intact.
Stains
Ink, oil and dye transfer sitting in the grain.
Colour wear
Pigment thinned away across seats and headrests.
Extend the life of your B&B Italia
From a single scuffed arm to a full recolour, B&B Italia leather repair keeps the piece you chose instead of replacing it — in your home, or in our Brooklyn workshop.
What needs attention?
Tell us where it hurts
Point us at the problem. Send photos of the piece and we will tell you what the repair involves, and what it will cost, before anything is booked.
Scratches & scuffs
Pets, rings, belts and buckles.
Small tears
Stress points, before they run.
Fading & colour loss
Sun-bleached panels and flattened tone.
Stains
Ink, oil, dye and water marks.
Split seams
Stitching opened along a piped edge.
Worn edges
Arm fronts, seat noses and corners.
Cushion support
Foam that no longer holds its shape.
Surface wear
The sheen gone flat where you sit.
Preserve the design. Care for the details.
Every B&B Italia leather repair starts by reading the leather, the finish and the construction before we quote. A cold-moulded B&B Italia shell is not repaired the way a sprung frame is, and the cover has to come off and go back the way the factory fitted it.

Questions owners ask
Before you send photos
The five things that come up most often before a B&B Italia leather repair is booked.
01
Does the B&B Italia warranty cover worn leather?
No. The frame is guaranteed for ten years and the cover for twenty-six months, and normal wear over time is excluded from both. That gap is exactly what this service exists to close.
02
Can the original leather be saved, or does it have to be re-covered?
In most cases it is repaired. Scratches, scuffs, cracking, tears, stains and lost colour are all worked on the hide already on the frame. Re-covering is the last option, not the first.
03
Will the repair match the rest of the piece?
Colour is mixed against the panel beside the damage rather than off a chart, and the finish is rebuilt to the same sheen. On an aniline hide that means keeping the depth the leather already has instead of painting over it.
04
Do you work in the home, or does the piece have to leave?
Most B&B Italia leather repair is done in your home, around your furniture. Full recolours and structural work travel to the Brooklyn workshop and come back to you.
05
Can you still work on a discontinued model?
Yes. A discontinued frame is the strongest reason to repair rather than replace, because the original cover is no longer offered.
