Questions owners ask.

Can the original leather be saved, or does the chair need re-covering?→

In most cases it is saved. Scratches, scuffs, cracking, small tears, stains and lost color are all repaired on the hide that is already there. Re-covering a panel is the last option, not the first, and it is usually limited to the one panel that has failed rather than the whole chair.

Will the repaired area match the rest of the chair?→

Color is mixed against your own leather in daylight and tested on a hidden area before anything visible is touched. On an aged chair the surrounding hide has usually shifted from its original shade, so the match is made to the chair as it is now, not to a factory color.

Do you have to take the chair away?→

Often not. Surface repair, color work and conditioning are done in your home or office on a covered floor. Cushion rebuilds, panel replacement and machine stitching need the bench, so those go to the workshop and come back.

No. We are an independent leather repair company and we are not affiliated with, authorised by or endorsed by Herman Miller. We are named here only to describe the furniture we work on. Herman Miller runs its own parts and service programme, and if your piece is still in warranty that is worth checking first.
