Accessibility

This is our accessibility statement. It says what we have checked on this website, what works, and what is still wrong. It is not a certificate. Nobody independent has audited this site, and there are faults named further down that we have not fixed yet.

We would rather publish a short honest list than a long reassuring one.

What this covers
The accessibility of leatherrestorepro.com, checked on 28 September 2026.
The standard
WCAG 2.1 Level AA, used as the target we measure against.
If something blocks you
Call 347-310-7483. A person answers, and you can do the whole job by phone.

Another Way In

You never have to use this website

We repair leather furniture in your home. The website is a front door, not the service, and the estimate form is not a gate you have to get through. Everything that form does, a person can do with you instead.

So if any part of this site is hard for you to read, see or operate, you do not need to fight with it and you do not need to wait for us to fix it.

Call

347-310-7483

Tell us what the piece is and what happened to it. We ask the questions, so there is nothing for you to fill in.

Text photographs

347-310-7483

We quote from pictures of the damage. Texting them is exactly the same to us as uploading them through the form.

Email

info@leatherrestorepro.com

Write as much or as little as you want. A person reads every message, and you will get a written reply you can keep.

None of these is a reduced service or a special arrangement. Most jobs already start this way.

What We Checked

Twelve checks, and where each one stands

On 28 September 2026 we ran these accessibility checks against five pages: the home page, About Us, Warranty, Materials and the estimate form. We read the code each page sends, and we measured what a browser actually drew on screen, which is the part that decides whether text is readable.

ZoomNothing on the site blocks pinch-zoom or browser zoom. You can enlarge any page as far as your device allows.

Working

Skip to contentEvery page begins with a Skip to content link for keyboard users, and on all five pages the link goes somewhere real rather than nowhere.

Working

Image descriptionsEvery image on the five pages carries a written description for screen readers.

Working

Link wordingNo link on the pages we checked reads only "click here" or "learn more". Each one says where it goes when read on its own.

Working

Form labelsEvery visible field on the estimate form has a real label attached to it, not just faint grey text inside the box that disappears when you start typing.

Working

Contrast, ordinary textMeasured as drawn, not as written in the code. Body text on white and on the dark bands is comfortably above the level the standard asks for.

Working

Contrast, small grey captionsSmall grey captions on the cream-coloured bands now meet the level the standard asks for, on every page we checked.

Working

Page languageThe site tells screen readers it is written in British English. It is a New York and New Jersey business writing American English, so some words are pronounced wrongly.

Not yet

One main heading per pageEvery page we checked has exactly one top-level heading, so the page outline starts in one clear place.

Working

The logo linkThe logo at the top of every page links to the home page and carries a written description, so a screen reader says where it goes.

Working

Page regionsEvery page we checked marks where the main content starts, so you can jump straight to it.

Working

Screen reader testingNo page on this site has been driven end to end with a screen reader by a person who relies on one. This is the biggest gap on the list.

Not done

The item marked "Not yet" is being worked on. It does not stop you getting an estimate, and it is described above rather than left for you to discover.

What We Are Not Claiming

The limits of the list above

A checklist that only reports good news is not worth reading. Here is what our testing does not cover.

We have not been audited

No independent accessibility specialist has reviewed this site. The checks above are our own. We are not claiming conformance with WCAG, the standard most accessibility law is written around, because with faults still open that claim would not be true.

Automated checks miss things

Software can tell you an image has no description. It cannot tell you the description is useless, or that a page makes no sense in the order a screen reader reads it. Those faults need a person, and that testing has not happened.

We tested five pages, not the whole site

This site runs to a few hundred pages. The five we checked are built the same way as the rest, so the results should carry across, but we have not proved that page by page.

Some things on the page are not ours

The analytics tag, the cookie settings and the form tools on this site are supplied by other companies and run their own code. We chose them, so the responsibility is still ours, but we cannot rewrite them. If one of them is what blocks you, tell us and we will look at replacing it.

We do not run an accessibility overlay

There is no toolbar or widget on this site promising to make it accessible at the press of a button. That is deliberate. Many disabled users and the people who work with them report that these tools get in the way of the screen readers and settings people already use, an objection set out in the Overlay Fact Sheet. We would rather fix the pages.

Report A Barrier

Tell us the page that stopped you

If an accessibility problem here blocked you, we want to hear it, and the more specific you can be the faster it gets fixed. If you can, include:

  • the address of the page, or just its name
  • what you were trying to do when it went wrong
  • what happened instead
  • what you were using, if you know: phone or computer, which browser, and any screen reader or magnifier

We will not promise you a fix by a particular date, because we would be making the date up. We will tell you what we can do and roughly when, and if it is something we cannot change we will say so plainly and find you another way through.

You can also read how we handle what you send us in our privacy policy, or find answers about the repair work itself in the help center.
