What Restoration Means

Keep the Furniture.Restore the Appearance.

Three different problems, three different solutions. Commercial furniture restoration addresses how furniture looks — the fading, color loss and worn finishes that build up over years of daily use — without replacing the material underneath.

The difference is what you keep. Repair and restoration both preserve your original leather, vinyl or wood. Reupholstery replaces it. When the material underneath is still sound but the surface looks tired, restoration is almost always the lower-cost, lower-disruption path — and the only one that keeps the original piece intact.

What We Restore

From Worn and FadedTo Presentation-Ready.

Commercial furniture rarely fails all at once. It fades, dulls, dries and wears in the places people touch most. These are the conditions we correct — on leather, vinyl and wood, without replacing the piece.

Dry, Aged & Cracking Leather

Leather that has lost its oils goes stiff and crazes along fold lines. We recondition the hide, fill the crazing and rebuild the finish.

High-Traffic Wear & Abrasion

Armrests, seat fronts and headrests wear first. We rebuild those contact points so they match the rest of the piece instead of standing out.

Worn Finish & Lost Sheen

Cleaning products and daily use strip the topcoat, leaving a dull, patchy surface. We re-level the finish to a consistent commercial sheen.

Conditions We Correct

Twelve of the issues we see most across NYC and NJ commercial interiors.
01

Color Loss

Pigment worn away at contact points, leaving pale or bare patches.

02

Fading

Overall lightening from age and washing, most visible on darker leathers.

03

UV Damage

Sun-facing panels bleached and dried out next to windows and skylights.

04

Worn Finish

Topcoat thinned or removed, so the surface no longer resists soiling.

05

Surface Scratches

Fine scoring from keys, buckles, badges and equipment carts.

06

Scuffs & Abrasion

Rub marks from walls, table edges and chairs pushed back into place.

07

Dry, Aged Leather

Hide that has lost its oils and gone stiff, brittle or crazed.

08

Uneven Color

Blotchy or two-tone panels where wear and cleaning have been inconsistent.

09

Staining & Discoloration

Ink, dye transfer, food, hand oils and hair product set into the surface.

10

Peeling Finish

Bonded or over-coated surfaces flaking away in sheets and slivers.

11

Dull, Lost Sheen

Flat, tired-looking surfaces that photograph badly in lobbies and dining rooms.

12

Previously Repaired Areas

Older patches and touch-ups that no longer match the surrounding color.

Most of these appear together. A single lobby chair will often show fading, worn armrests and a dull finish at once — which is why we quote by the piece and the condition, not by a fixed line item. Send photos and we’ll tell you what is restorable.

Furniture We Restore

One Service.Every Piece On Your Floor.

Restoration is not limited by furniture type. If the frame is sound and the surface is tired, it is a candidate — whether that is a single executive chair or an entire dining room.

Custom Commercial Furniture

Not sure your piece qualifies? Custom, imported and discontinued furniture is often the strongest case for restoration, because replacing it means losing a design you cannot reorder. Send photos and we will tell you what is restorable and what is not.

Custom Color Matching

Matching the Existing Furniture,Not Just a Color Chart.

A restored piece has to sit next to the ones we did not touch and look like it belongs. That is why color is mixed against your actual furniture, in your actual lighting — not selected from a catalogue.

01

Existing Furniture

We start from the piece itself and the pieces around it, on site.

02

Color Analysis

Base shade, undertone and how the finish reads under your lighting.

03

Custom Mix

Pigment blended to the reading, adjusted until it holds against the original.

04

Test Sample

Applied to a discreet area and reviewed before anything visible is committed.

05

Restoration

Approved color carried across the piece and sealed to the correct sheen.

Color

The base shade itself, matched to the piece rather than to a standard code.

Tone

Warmth and undertone, so the repair does not read cooler or redder than the original.

Sheen

Matte through gloss. A correct color at the wrong sheen still looks patched.

Grain Appearance

Surface texture rebuilt so the restored area does not go flat next to the grain.

Surrounding Furniture

The target is the room, not one chair — including pieces that have aged differently.

Color restoration is the service. Custom color matching is the capability we use to execute it.

Restore vs Replace

Before You Replace 40 Chairs,See What Can Be Restored.

Replacement is sometimes the right answer — when frames are broken or the design is being changed on purpose. But it is often chosen by default, before anyone has checked whether the existing furniture is still sound underneath.

Replace

What replacing 40 chairs actually involves.

  • Specifying and procuring new furniture
  • Lead times and freight
  • Removal and disposal of the existing pieces
  • Potential downtime while the space is out of service
  • Matching challenges against furniture you are keeping
  • Discontinued designs that cannot be reordered
Restore

What restoration involves instead.

  • Existing furniture retained
  • Original design and specification preserved
  • Localized and on-site work where appropriate
  • Phased scheduling in sections or shifts
  • Less disruption to daily operations
  • Color matched to the pieces you are not touching

We will tell you when replacement is the better call. If frames are failing or the leather has torn through, restoration is not the honest answer and we will say so. The assessment is the point — not talking you into either one.

Commercial Scale

One Piece orAn Entire Venue.

The process does not change with volume — only the scheduling does. A single executive chair and a hundred-piece hotel rollout run against the same standard and the same color record.

Work Around Business Operations

Restore the Furniture.Keep the Business Running.

Restoration is scheduled around your operating hours, not against them. Most commercial work happens while the space is closed — and in sections, so no area goes offline all at once.

01

On-Site Restoration

Work performed in place. Furniture never leaves your floor.

02

After Closing

Crews start once the last guest leaves and finish before you reopen.

03

Overnight

Full overnight windows for lobbies, dining rooms and common areas.

04

Before Opening

Early-morning work completed ahead of first service.

05

Weekend Projects

Saturday and Sunday windows for offices and corporate floors.

06

Phased Projects

Sections, floors or wings restored in stages so nothing closes.

Scheduling terms, access requirements and lead times live on each program page rather than being repeated here.
