After Hours Furniture Repair
After hours furniture repair means the work is scheduled into the evenings, early mornings and weekends when your room is not trading — never into the hours it earns. Commercial leather, vinyl and fabric seating across New York City is repaired where it stands, after the last customer leaves and before the first one arrives.
In short
Leather Restore PRO provides after hours furniture repair for commercial spaces across New York City — repairing and refinishing leather, vinyl and fabric seating in the evenings, before opening, at weekends and on public holidays, so no trading time is given up to the work.
This is a scheduling capability, not a separate service. It sets when the work happens; what actually gets done is repair, restoration or reupholstery, almost always as on-site work.
- Hours worked
- Evenings after close, early mornings before opening, weekends and public holidays. The window is set by your occupancy, not by our schedule.
- Where
- New York City — Manhattan, Brooklyn, Queens, the Bronx and Staten Island — plus Long Island and northern New Jersey.
- What is repaired
- Commercial leather, vinyl and fabric seating: banquettes, booths, dining chairs, bar stools, lobby and lounge furniture, office task and guest seating.
- Rooms that never close
- Worked a section at a time during the quietest band, with the rest of the seating left set and in service.
- Building access
- Certificate of insurance on file, a named after-hours contact, and a booked freight elevator or service entrance where one is needed.
- Not this page
- A single continuous run on an empty site with a fixed handback by opening is overnight service.
The window
When is your room actually empty?Every venue type answers differently — so the schedule is built backwards from your week.
There is no single “after hours”. A restaurant is dark from midnight to mid-morning; an office floor is dark from seven in the evening until six the next day and all weekend; a hotel lobby is never dark at all. The first thing we work out is the shape of your week, because that decides how many visits the job takes and how long each one can run.

These are the typical shapes, not your shape. The real window is measured at assessment, along with the two things that usually shrink it: cleaning crews who need the floor at the same time we do, and buildings that restrict noisy work to certain hours. A room with a six-hour window on paper often has four in practice, and it is better to find that out before the schedule is written than on the second evening. See how a commercial project runs.
After hours means
After hours, not overnight. The two names get used interchangeably. They are booked differently and they solve different problems.
Worth settling before anything is scheduled, because it decides which service you are actually asking for. After hours furniture repair is defined by when your room is closed to customers. Overnight is defined by when the work has to be finished.
It means
Work booked into the hours your room is shut.
Evenings after close, early mornings before opening, weekends and holidays — whichever of those your particular week leaves free. The building is otherwise in its ordinary week: staff may still be on site, cleaners may be working the same floor, and the room reopens on its normal schedule. Because nothing has to be finished by a named morning, the job can run across as many visits as the scope needs.
It does not mean
A single run through the night against an opening deadline.
That is overnight service — a separate capability with a different governing constraint. There the site has to be genuinely empty rather than merely closed, and the whole job is bounded by what can be finished and set before the doors open. If your requirement is that the furniture is back in service by the time you unlock, book that instead of this.
Overnight service →Access
Three things the building needs before we can work at night. All of them are arranged during scheduling, never on the evening itself.
Insurance on file
Most managed buildings will not grant after-hours access to a vendor whose certificate is not already lodged, and getting one issued at nine at night is not possible. Naming the correct entity as additional insured is the part that most often goes wrong. COI and insurance.
A named contact
Someone who can let the crew in, who knows the alarm is being disarmed, and who can be reached if something needs a decision. On a phased job this is confirmed for every visit, because building staff rotate and the second evening is where access usually fails.
A booked route
The freight elevator, service entrance or dock reserved for the window — and confirmed as actually staffed at that hour. If a piece has to leave the building entirely, that becomes pickup and delivery and is booked separately.
Vs. overnight
Two ways to work closed hours. They are booked differently because they solve different problems.
Both mean the crew is on site while you are shut, so the names get used interchangeably. The difference that matters is whether you are buying a schedule or a deadline.

Off-hours — a schedule
The work is fitted into the gaps in your normal week and can run across as many visits as the scope needs. Nothing has to be finished by a particular morning.
- Evenings, early mornings, weekends, holidays
- One job, often several visits
- Room stays partly in service throughout
- Best for phased work and larger floors
Sibling capability
Overnight — a deadline
A single continuous run on an empty site, worked through the closed hours against a fixed handback: the furniture is back in service by the time you open.
- One night, start to finish
- Site empty, not merely closed
- Governed by what can cure before opening
- Best when no trading time can be lost at all
Who books it
Every business whose room is the product. If closing costs you money, the work happens when you are shut.
Questions
What businesses ask before booking an evening.
Do you offer after hours furniture repair for commercial spaces in New York City?
Yes. After hours furniture repair is how most of our commercial work in New York City is scheduled — evenings after close, early mornings before opening, weekends and public holidays. Commercial leather, vinyl and fabric seating is repaired where it stands, in the hours your room is not trading, so no trading time is given up to the work.
What is the difference between off-hours service and overnight service?
Off-hours service schedules the work into the gaps in your normal week — an evening, an early morning, a Sunday — and a job can run across several of those visits. Overnight service is a single continuous run on an empty site with a fixed deadline: the crew works through the closed hours and the furniture is back in service by opening. Off-hours is about fitting around occupancy; overnight is about a handback time.
Can you repair furniture at the weekend instead of on a weekday evening?
Yes, and for offices it is usually the better choice. A weekend gives a continuous stretch rather than a few hours after close, which means larger sections can be opened up at once and anything that needs to cure has far longer to do it before people return. Restaurants and bars tend to be the opposite, because the weekend is when they earn — for them a Monday or Tuesday morning is normally the cheapest time to lose.
Does evening and weekend furniture repair cost more than a daytime visit?
Scheduling outside business hours is standard for commercial work rather than a premium add-on, and for most jobs it is quoted the same way a daytime visit would be. What genuinely changes a price is the scope, the material and how many separate visits the access pattern forces — a job split across six short evenings costs more to run than the same job in two long ones. That is set at assessment, in writing, before anything is booked. Request a quote.
Our lobby never closes. Can furniture still be repaired outside business hours?
Yes, by phasing it. Hotel lobbies, residential buildings and 24-hour facilities never present an empty room, so instead of waiting for one we work a section at a time during the quietest band of the night. The rest of the seating stays set and in service, and the room is reset before the next peak. For buildings that need this on a standing basis rather than as a one-off, it usually belongs in a maintenance program.
What access does the building need to give you for after hours work?
Usually three things: a certificate of insurance already on file naming the right entity, a named after-hours contact or escort, and a booked freight elevator or service entrance if anything is being carried in or out. Alarm codes and any loading restrictions are confirmed before the visit rather than discovered on the night.

Book the window
Tell us when your room is empty. We will work backwards from that.
An assessment establishes the real window, the scope and how many visits it takes — in writing, before anything is scheduled. If the answer turns out to be that nothing needs to leave and one evening covers it, that is what the quote will say.
